Welcome to Liberty Elementary School, Home of the Liberty Lions! I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as principal of this amazing learning community. I have been an educator in FSSD for over 20 years. My three boys, Sean, Jordan and Jeremiah, grew up in FSSD. I have been an educator all of my life. My career in education started in 1990 with a desire to teach and to learn. As I have grown as an educator, my desire remains the same.
I am always eager to get to know more about our Liberty families and to answer any questions you may have. I consider it a privilege to assist you in your child’s educational journey. Please contact me if you have any questions, suggestions or concerns.
Dr. Janetta Davenport
I was born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. My parents still live in the house my dad built when I was four years old. I attended Liberty University in Virginia, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1985. I also have a master’s degree in special education from Vanderbilt University and a doctorate degree from Lipscomb University. Can you tell I LOVE to learn? I really do! Before becoming an assistant principal, I taught preschool, kindergarten, and first grade. I enjoy spending time with my three children and their families.
I also love spending time with my Liberty Elementary family. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. We are so glad you are part of our family!
