The Franklin Special School District is partnering with the Williamson County Health Department to offer free seasonal flu vaccines in the school to students October 3-6. Consent forms and information will be sent home with students this week. If you wish for your child to participate, please complete both sides of the consent form and return it to your child’s school by Friday, September 23rd. This vaccine opportunity is provided as a convenience for our FSSD families. You may also contact your child’s regular physician to schedule an appointment for the vaccine.
Additionally, Tennessee law requires schools to notify parents annually about meningococcal and influenza diseases and the effectiveness of vaccination. These vaccinations are not required for school attendance but are important vaccinations to prevent disease.
